Kurnool: A man from Prakasam survived with injuries after a bear attacked him in Nallamala forest on Saturday.
Kudumula Bayanna, a resident of Gandhinagar in Yerragondapalem Mandal, was attacked by the bear when he was going to Palagadda near Modugamani Penta, said Nakkanti range officer P.M.D. Arif Khan.
The incident occurred near the Ishtakameshwari Base Camp.
After managing to save his life, Bayanna went to the base camp for first aid. Forest officials shifted him to Sunnipenta Government Hospital. Later, he was sent to Markapur for better care.
