BPCL Maintains Fuel Supply as Odisha Diesel Sales Jump 9.7%

According to an official BPCL release, supply operations are functioning normally, and the company's robust logistics and distribution network continues to facilitate regular stock replenishment at retail outlets, ensuring fuel requirements are met efficiently and without disruption.

As economic activity, transportation, industrial operations and agricultural activities continue across Odisha, BPCL has maintained a steady flow of fuel supplies through its extensive retail network, supporting the state's growing energy needs.

During May 2026, petrol sales in Odisha crossed 29,000 MT, compared to more than 28,200 MT during the corresponding period last year, registering a growth of approximately 2.8 per cent.

Diesel sales recorded even stronger growth, reaching more than 70,300 MT compared to over 64,100 MT in May 2025, reflecting a growth of approximately 9.7 per cent.

The increase in fuel consumption reflects sustained economic activity across the state, higher mobility, growing transportation demand, and continued momentum in the industrial and agricultural sectors.
