Hyderabad: The Bathini Goud family announced that they will distribute the popular fish prasadam on June 8, Mrigasira Karte, at the Exhibition Ground here, it was stated on Saturday. The event typically draws thousands of asthma patients who believe that consuming the prasad will mitigate their disease.
The family confirmed that they have obtained government permission for the event, and the police will oversee security arrangements. The preparation process for the prasadam has already started. Family members place a small piece of the prasadam in the mouth of a live murrel fishling, which is then swallowed whole by the patient.
Bathina Anureet Goud and Gauri Shankar Goud disclosed that prior to the distribution of the fish prasadam, special pujas are conducted, including Satyanarayana Vratam and Bhavi Puja.
