Judge People by Their Work, Not Promises: Etala
Warangal: BJP leader Etala Rajendar on Tuesday said educated people should vote for candidates on the basis of their work, and not on the promises that they make.
Speaking in support of Gujjala Premendar Reddy, BJP candidate for the Legislative Council byelection, Rajendar said that BRS had win around 90 seats in the 2018 Assembly elections but received a drubbing last year.
The BRS had betrayed unemployed youth by making false promises like opening government recruitment and paying Rs 3,000 unemployment dole. The Congress had made a similar promise. The Congress candidate, if he won, would never raise the issue but the BJP nominee would, Rajendar said.
In comparision, the people were voting for the BJP once more, saying ‘Ab ki baar Modi sarkar’, on the basis of work done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Modi had fulfilled long-held demands of the people like the construction of Sri Rama temple at Ayodhya and doing away with Article 370 and triple talaq.
Appealing to the voters — graduates from the constituency — Rajendar asked them not to fall for money being offered by the BJP’s rivals. “Some parties may try to lure them, but if they fall for money, it will lead to destruction of democracy in the country,” he said.
