Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Sets 100-Day Agenda to Address Five Key Issues

Focus on healthcare, sanitation, and infrastructure as BJP aims for visible results

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has outlined a 100-day action plan to address five major issues in the national capital, aiming to deliver “visible results” to the citizens who placed their trust in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to party sources quoted by CNN-News18, the BJP, which secured a decisive mandate with 48 out of 70 seats, is under pressure to show quick progress.

Gupta’s top priorities include rolling out the Ayushman Bharat medical insurance scheme in Delhi, a long-pending demand aimed at improving access to healthcare for the underprivileged. Additionally, her government will focus on cleaning the Yamuna River, a project that has been at the center of environmental and political debates for years.

Ahead of the monsoon season, the chief minister has also prioritized de-silting of roads and sewers to prevent waterlogging, a recurring issue in Delhi. To improve sanitation, her administration plans to launch a massive citywide cleanliness drive, targeting garbage accumulation and unclean public spaces. The final key agenda item is the repair and maintenance of roads, a move expected to enhance connectivity and reduce congestion.

These issues are likely to be discussed in the first cabinet meeting after Gupta’s oath-taking ceremony on Thursday. BJP’s high command and the central leadership are closely monitoring her government’s performance, expecting substantial progress within the first three months.
