Dharani panel takes stock of portal’s problems
Hyderabad: The committee constituted to go into the problems in the Dharani portal met at the secretariat here on Wednesday. The members were briefed by officials about the functioning of 35 modules and the status of applications pending in each of them.
Interacting with the media later, Sunil Kumar, a member of the committee, said, “All the records and information on Dharani that were sought by us in the earlier meeting were tabled before us, including circulars and GOs as a means to appraise us about the functioning of the portal. We will now identify the focus areas apart from going to the field for getting first-hand information. We will, subsequently, prioritise the issues and keep submitting interim reports before coming up with the final report.”
Another member M. Kodanda Reddy, blaming the previous government for creating various problems for farmers, said, “We will ensure that farmers don’t face any more problems. We will reveal more details on Monday after the CCLA (Chief Commissioner of Land Administration) meeting.”
The Dharani website has undergone 119 corrections since its inception.
