Emergency team to be formed to address Monsoon issues

Kalaburagi: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and Kalaburagi district in-charge Priyank Kharge announced the formation of an emergency service team to address rain-related issues within the Kalaburagi City Corporation limits.

In a press statement, Kharge stated that the Municipal Corporation had been instructed to form these teams in response to the onset of the monsoon season. As a result, Municipal Commissioner Bhuvanesh Patil has assigned ward-wise officers and staff to handle emergency services, including flood management, waterlogging, tree clearing, electricity issues, and other rain-related problems.

Kharge also mentioned that the details of the appointed officers and their contact numbers will be made available to the public. He urged residents to reach out to these authorities immediately if they encounter any difficulties.

To ensure effective coordination and speedy resolution of issues during emergencies, Zonal Commissioners, along with the concerned officers and engineers, have been tasked with overseeing the operations.

Kharge has directed the officials to ensure that assistant and junior engineers, as well as health inspectors of the respective wards, monitor their areas at night and prioritize addressing complaints and issues promptly.
