Exit Poll on Wed From 6.30 PM
Violation of Section 126A of the R.P. Act, 1951 is punishable with imprisonment up to a period of two years

New Delhi: The Exit Polls of the assembly elections of four states and a Union Territory will be available from 6.30 pm on Wednesday after polling for the second and final phase of the West Bengal assembly elections conclude.
“The Commission under Section 126A of the R.P. Act 1951, has notified that the conduct of Exit poll and dissemination of their results by means of print or electronic media is prohibited between 7:00 AM on April 9, 2026 (Thursday) and 6.30 PM on April 29, 2026 (Wednesday). Violation of Section 126A of the R.P. Act, 1951 is punishable with imprisonment up to a period of two years, or with fine or both,” ECI said in a notification to all media houses and social media platforms.
While voting for Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Puducherry is over, it will conclude in West Bengal on Wednesday evening.
