Hyderabad: Naidu Gets Rousing Reception from Revanth at Praja Bhavan
Hyderabad: In a show of cordiality and mutual respect, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was received warmly by the Telangana government during his visit to Praja Bhavan here on Saturday. The event, marked by a festive atmosphere and goodwill, highlighted the present bondage between the two states.
The meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Naidu to discuss and resolve pending bifurcation issues was the first by Chief ministers of the two states in four-and-a-half years. The last one was held at the same venue in January 2020 between K. Chandrashekar Rao (TG) and Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy (AP).
As Naidu stepped out of his vehicle, he was greeted by Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar.
Naidu's delegation included three ministers, the Chief Secretary and a few senior officials, reflecting the importance of the meeting.
Soon after the welcome reception, both delegations headed to the conference hall, where before the commencement of the official talks, Revanth Reddy felicitated Naidu with a shawl and presented him with a copy of ‘Naa Godava’, a book by the revered poet Prajakavi Kaloji Narayan Rao.
In a reciprocal gesture, Naidu gifted Revanth Reddy a portrait of Venkateshwara Swamy. Naidu felicitated both Revanth and Bhatti with shawls, further emphasising the camaraderie.
Naidu arrived at Praja Bhavan at approximately 6.20 pm with the meeting commencing promptly at 6.0 pm.
The discussions, characterised by a ‘give and take’ approach, lasted for about 90 minutes and concluded at 7.50 pm. Official sources said that the talks were held amid a highly cordial atmosphere.
Later, Revanth Reddy hosted dinner in honour of Naidu and his team at Praja Bhavan. Ministers and officials from both states attended the dinner.
The festive ambience at the venue, enhanced by floral decorations, set a positive tone for the meeting.
The event highlighted the cooperative spirit between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, showcasing a commitment to mutual respect and collaboration.
