Hyderabad: Six Real Estate Firms Served Notice for Flouting Norms

Hyderabad: The Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TGRERA) has served notices to six real estate companies for flouting norms which include pre-launch sales. One of the companies, Bharti Lake View Towers, had reportedly cheated 350 people of Rs.60 crore.

The others who were issued notices were Pragya Ecospring (Miyapur), Sri Siddi Vinayaka Property Developers in Chintalkunta (LB Nagar), North East Habitation (Kondapur), VR Promoters and Developers (Sangareddy), Invest Infra Project (Kukatpally Housing Board Colony) and Bharti Lake View Towers (Kompally). They have been asked to reply within 15 days.

“We have served notices based on complaints from people, online advertisements and publicity through pamphlets. It's only after they reply to the notices, the offences will be established,” said Srinivasa Rao, member-2 of the TGRERA tribunal. He said that violations can range from cheating and not registering with TGRERA , among others.

“Only after these real estate companies reply to us that we will get to know whether they at least have a sale deed or a physical site in place,” said Srinivasa Rao.

TSRERA in a press release said that in the 11 months since the authority was fully formed, 210 complaints were adjudicated.

With TSRERA, 8,270 projects have been registered so far and 918 projects were found to have violated RERA norms and Rs.30.99 crore were imposed as delinquency fee and Rs.13.7 crore were recovered.
