Public grievance box comes up at Raj Bhavan
Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Saturday launched a suggestions/grievances box at the entrance gate of Raj Bhavan to mark the commencement of 2022. The general public can give their suggestions on any issue or file their grievances.
"I am not saying that all issues will be resolved. The Raj Bhavan will refer the grievances to the state government by acting as a bridge between the people and the government," the governor said after launching the initiative.
"We will try to address the problems within our limitations. Issues that are beyond our scope, will be referred to the government," she said.
Another such box exclusively meant for the staff of Raj Bhavan was also inaugurated by her on the occasion.
The governor praised the Telangana government for being one of the few states to achieve 100 percent administration of the first dose of Covid vaccine. She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for releasing adequate vaccines to Telangana. She advised the government to focus more on health infrastructure.
The governor also distributed laptops donated by NGOs to 20 underprivileged and physically challenged children to help them continue their online education.
She said that she had recently urged vice-chancellors, corporate houses, companies, NGOs and others to donate laptops so that they can be distributed among poor students attending online classes. She said they had received about 2,000 requests from students for laptops.
