Hyderabad: The district consumer forum on Wednesday gave relief to Telangana chief secretary Shanthi Kumari, who, on a personal issue, had approached the forum to complain about poor service from Ample Technologies on the purchase of a pair of shoes.
In her complaint, she alleged that she paid Rs 15,000 for the footwear on an assurance of ‘best quality’ from the seller, but said that it developed holes and other defects in a short time.
The forum, holding it to be faulty service, directed Ample Technologies to pay the cost of the footwear with interest and an additional Rs 10,000 for damage, inconvenience and agony within 45 days.
