A tamer attempting to overpower a bull at a jallikattu event at Irungalur near Tiruchy on Tuesday.
Tiruchy: At least ten tamers were injured in a Jallikattu event at the suburb of Irungalur near here on Tuesday. Official sources said that 337 bulls and 420 tamers from various places of Tiruchy and its surrounding districts took part in the event.
A team of general physician checked the health and fitness of the tamers while a group of veterinarians examined the bulls before they entered the venue. The injured were treated at the event site itself, sources added.
