Warangal: Rajanna Sircilla district was ranked first in the 4-star category under Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2023 in the parameters given in the month of November to December 2022 as part of the country's Swachh Bharat Mission.
The Central government's department of drinking water and sanitation announced on its Twitter account that the district had received first place for announcing all of the villages into the ODF (Open Defecation Free) plus category with proper sanitation, wall paintings, and waste disposal maintenance.
Meanwhile, IT minister K.T. Rama Rao responded on Twitter and congratulated district collector Anurag Jayanti and his team of officials, panchayat secretaries, and village sarpanches on the district's top ranking in Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2023.
Collector Anurag Jayanti stated that the district was able to retain its first rank in Swachh Survekshan Mission due to the guidance of IT minister K.T. Rama Rao and supervision of ZP chairperson N. Aruna, as well as the collective efforts of officials, public representatives, and sanitation staff.
