Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday directed the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) to investigate any violations in the excavations and constructions at Rushikonda in Visakhapatnam. The court also directed the MoEF to submit a report within three weeks.
The court's order came after a joint committee constituted by it found illegal excavations and constructions beyond the permitted limit at Rushikonda. The committee submitted its report to the court on Tuesday.
