TTD opens counters to issue Srivani Darshan tickets at Tirupati

Nellore: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has opened counters to issue Srivani darshan tickets at Tirupati.

TTD’s joint executive officer Veerabrahmam inaugurated the Srivani ticket
counters at Madhavam rest house in Tirupati on Wednesday. He said that hence
forth, the TTD would issue the tickets at Tirupati. After performing special
pujas, the JEO issued the first Srivani tickets at Tirupati to N. Lakshmi
Harish and G. Roop Sindhu couple from Guntur.

Speaking to the media later, Veerabrahma m said that, until now, those who
donated Rs 10,000 to the Srivani Trust could get one VIP break ticket of Rs 500
at Tirumala only, adding that donors had to visit Tirumala one day in
advance and submit papers for tickets.

He said that the TTD management had noticed the hardships of donors and
hence commenced the issuance of Srivani offline tickets at Tirupati and also
the allotment of accommodations based on availability in Madhavam Rest
House.

He added that the new system would be helpful to devotees as they could stay
at Madhavam, which is close to the bus station and railway station, and
leave for Tirumala early in the morning directly for Darshan.

He said the Srivani Trust funds were being used for the rejuvenation of
dilapidated ancient temples, building new temples and bhajan mandirs.
In the first phase, 502 SV temples have been built under the trust, and the
construction of another 1500 temples has already been sanctioned.

He appealed to devotees to utilise the Srivani Trust counters at Madhavam in
Tirupati and also complimented the Union Bank, which had come forward to
manage the counters.

TTD chief engineer Nageswara Rao, Union Bank regional head Ram Prasad, chief managers Brahmaih, Nagesh Kumar, VGO Manohar, DyEO Parvati, EE Krishna Reddy, and AEO Dhananjay were also present.
