Tiruchy: At least 30 bull-tamers were injured in a jallikattu (bullfight) event at suburb Thuvakkudi near Tiruchy on Sunday.
Police said more than 750 bulls and hundreds of tamers from different parts of the state took part in the event.
All the injured were treated for the minor bruises at the venue itself, while two of the more seriously injured were referred to the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government hospital in Tiruchy, police added. This year, the district has been witnessing as many jallikattus as in 2017.
