CM Jagan to begin outreach, cover every household

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy as president of YSR Congress party has drawn up a ‘Mass Interaction Strategy’ to win the people’s support for the Mega Battle of the 2024 Elections.

Jagan Reddy would launch the first phase of the party’s electoral campaign called ‘Jagananne Maa Bhavishyatthu,’ to reach out to each and every individual across Andhra Pradesh with a common message, -- ‘CM Jagan is the state’s only future.’

The campaign aims to cover all the households and will continue for a week, from April 7 to April 14.

The CM would conduct a review meeting with MLAs, regional coordinators, district party presidents and other key leaders on Monday. He would give them the key message of the new mass interaction programme. The YSRC cadre in unison will be disseminating the message to make a resounding echo in political circles, party sources said.

YSRC leaders explained that during the campaign, the party would spread two key messages to the grassroots –namely on the accomplishments of CM Jagan's government and the people’s trust and reliance on Jagananna for their prosperous future.

According to the YSRC, the campaign would start with the inauguration of the week-long door-to-door campaign (April 07-14). The newly appointed Jagananna Sachivalayam conveners and Gruha Sarathis will be majorly involved in this.

The door-to-door campaign will be conducted by a total of 5.65 lakh Jagananna Sachivalayam conveners and Gruha Sarathis who will reach out to 1.65 crore households covering the entire 5 crore population, YSRC leaders said.

The YSRC teams on the door-to-door campaign would distribute pamphlets, books, stickers and engage in a missed call campaign too. “Under the ‘Past Vs. Present Pamphlet’, the conveners will be reading out a pamphlet that compares the works done by Jagan since his start as CM in 2019, comparing this with the Chandrababu Naidu’s government, and hand this over to the resident of each household.

Under the ‘Praja Maddathu Pusthakam’, they will fill out the questionnaire Praja Maddathu Pusthakam and give a receipt to the residents. Under the ‘Door and Mobile Stickers’, with the permission of the resident, they will stick the mobile and door stickers onto their phone and door respectively. Under the ‘Missed call’ initiative, they will also request the residents to give a missed call at 8296082960 to show their support for the Jagananna Governance and the party is expecting over 70 lakh-plus missed calls.

YSRC top brasses said that on the launch day, the party would activate all its leaders across all assembly constituencies as all MLAs and assembly constituency conveners would conduct press conferences and address the local media and the people to highlight the campaign.

The ruling party MLAs recalled that during the Gadapa Gadapaku programme, they came to know about the issues and Gadapa helped them to resolve them. They are hopeful that this innovative interaction programme will help them mingle with the public directly.
