SSC exams starting in AP today; 6.5 lakh students to troop in
VIJAYAWADA: The education, revenue and other departments have made elaborate arrangements for the SSC examinations beginning Monday across Andhra Pradesh. The exams will conclude on April 18.
The SSC examinations and open school examinations (OSSC) are scheduled to begin from Monday. The state government has taken all steps for smooth conduct of the exams from 9.30am to 12.45pm, spread over 3,349 centres. Section 144 will be imposed at all the centres, police said.
The Open school examinations will be held in the afternoon. In all 6.5 lakh students including supplementary students will be appearing for the examinations and 1672 students would appear for the OSSC including supplementary candidates.
Director of government examinations, D Devananda Reddy, said, “The students have to reach the examination centres by 8.45 am sharp. No one would be allowed in after that time. The students can utilise APSRTC services to reach the examination centres and from there back to their places free of cost by showing their hall tickets,” he said.
