Stray bull attacks five in Samalkot

Kakinada: A bull roaming on the road in Samalkot went berserk and gored five persons on Thursday.

The bull generally roamed the streets. Some householders fed it and also performed pooja to it.

However, on Thursday, it got irritable and hit a woman sanitary worker. It then chased an advocate P. Chakravarthi and three others and gored them.

All the five persons were admitted to a hospital in Kakinada for treatment. They are all safe.

Meanwhile, some locals led by YSRC leader Gangireddy Krishna controlled the bull and tied it up with a rope. They informed the animal husbandry department. The department’s veterinary doctors arrived and gave anaesthesia to calm the bull.

Samalkot municipal commissioner J. Rama Rao called on the injured woman sanitary worker who was injured in the attack by the bull.
