Tamil Nadu CM Calls Party Functionaries to Back Officials

Chennai: Chief Minister M K Stalin called up his party leaders, starting from Ministers, MPs, MLAs local body representatives and other functionaries to extend all possible help to the government officials involved in the relief operations that might be required to provide succor to the people who might be affected by the ravages of Cyclone Michaung that might strike the State in the next two days.

Though all arrangements have been made to rush immediate help to the people through a series of meetings at all levels and gearing up the government machinery to meet any eventuality, Stalin, through a social media post, urged his party leaders to stand by the government officials in reaching out to the people.

Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena, who, too, held meetings with officers to review the cyclone preparedness, gave a clarion call to all secretaries, collectors and other officials in the government to quickly respond to any problems that Cyclone Michaung might bring in its wake. He urged the officers to supervise and monitor the relief operations closely.
