Land dispute settled after 13yrs under newly constituted DLSA in Jangaon

Warangal: After 13 years, a land dispute case between brothers was settled in the Lok Adalat, held for the first time after formation of the new district legal services authority (DLSA) in Jangaon district on Monday.

It was on a recommendation of the high court that the state government has constituted 23 new DLSAs to the new judicial districts against the existing 11 DLSAs in the state.

Chief justice of the high court and patron-in-chief and executive chairman of the Telangana state legal services authority, Ujjal Bhuyan, inaugurated 23 new DLSAs, via virtual modem from the central hall of the high court building in Hyderabad.

Launching the DLSA for the first time in Jangaon district, a Lok Adalat was held under the supervision of DLSA chairperson Shailaja and senior civil judge and in-charge secretary of the DLSA Anjaneyulu at the premises of the district court here.

The first case that came up for hearing was a land dispute between brothers Vallakoti Devendar, Satyanarayana and Narendar (expired), which was pending for the past 13 years due to filing of several writ petitions by the brothers.

One Chandraiah, who had three sons for providing medical education to his elder son Devendar, took a loan by transferring the land papers to his name in 1992. After a few years, when Devendar began to claim the property to be of his own, brother Satyanarayana and Ramesh (Narendar’s son) created an affidavit and transferred the property to their name.

Devendar approached court in 2009 and the case was pending since then. Both the parties were not in a mood to have a compromise. Finally, with the initiative taken by the advocates from both sides, the case came up for hearing in the Lok Adalat held under newly constituted DLSA in Jangaon.
