Main accused in Congress leader's murder absconding
Nizamabad: The sensational murder case of Congress leader Sadula Ramulu of Nasrullabad has been handed over to Bichkunda police.
Ramulu had been allegedly murdered by BRS activists in fisticuff and using liquor bottles during the New Year celebrations.
Family members of the deceased urged police higher ups to get the case investigated by officers other than the local Nasrullabad and Banswada Rural police.
Following this, Kamareddy district superintendent of police Ch. Sindhu Sharma has directed Bichkunda police to investigate the murder case. Of the five accused, police have taken four into custody. The main accused is absconding.
District in-charge minister Jupally Krishna Rao visited the bereaved family members in Nachupally village of Kamareddy district on Tuesday and consoled them. Banswada assembly constituency Congress in-charge and former MLA Enugu Ravinder Reddy demanded that the accused must be severely punished.
