Hussainsagar to get bridal look with aqua screen musical fountains
Hyderabad: Hussainsagar will soon take on a bridal look with a creative exercise of music, lights, and colours. The HMDA is working to display aqua screen musical fountains ahead of the Formula E event in the lake.
The installation of two aqua screen musical fountains will make the tallest monolithic stone statue of the Buddha on Hussainsagar the centre of attention with colourful dancing lighting and music. The HMDA is making hectic efforts to get the fountains up before the Formula E Event starts on February 11 in order to draw global attention.
The installation of the two fountains would cost Rs 13 crore, while DMX technology will cost Rs 4 crore.
The DMX technology makes the water dance to the beat of music and produces stunning designs. The aqua screen musical fountains, which are installed at Komati Cheruvu, Siddipet, and Ajwa Garden in Vadodara, are among the rarest in the nation, according to a HMDA official.
Following installation, there will be three shows each day between 7 pm and 10 pm on weekdays, and four shows on weekends and on holidays. Each show will last 20 minutes.
Each nozzle would have a height of 3 to 20 metres, and the underwater lights would be DMX-controlled to meet international standards. Other elements include video projection on a water screen, 5W RGB laser, 2D and 3D nozzles, arching jets inward/outward crown nozzles, chasing jets, sunburst jet nozzles, centre jet nozzles, flame jets, among others.
Officials are working hard to ensure the lighting fixtures, pumpsets, and other equipment would be fixed within 48 hours, and the musical fountains would be operational from Sunday.
In addition, two musical floating fountains are being installed on either side of the Durgam Cheruvu bridge at an estimated cost of Rs 8.03 crore by the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a division of the HMDA. "HGCL invited bids for the supply, installation, and commissioning of two musical floating fountains the size of 40 metres x 10 metres in diameter. The HGCL planning body has decided to provide seating arrangements with an estimated cost of Rs 53.10 lakh,” an official stated. Efforts are being made to ensure the works are completed before the Formula E event commences.
