Andhra Pradesh HC reserves verdict on R-5 Zone

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh High Court would deliver its verdict on Friday on the AP government’s move to set up a separate R-5 Zone in Amaravati with a view to allocating house sites to the poor hailing from other areas.

The court held the hearing in the case on Wednesday and said the hearing was completed and the verdict was reserved.

The AP government had issued GO-45 to allocate house sites in about 1,134 acres to the poor from other areas. Accordingly, permission for land transfer was accorded by the CRDA commissioner to the collectors of Guntur and NTR districts.
