WARANGAL: An Eturunagaram sub-inspector and a driver was killed and a constable suffered severe injuries when their jeep hit a culvert and overturned at Eturnagaram mandal in Mulugu district on Tuesday.
Police identified the SI as B. Indraiah, 59, and the driver as Ch. Raju, 32, and the injured constable M. Srinivas.
Police said they were heading back towards Eturnagaram when the vehicle hit a pole at the Jeedivagu culvert and overturned. On being informed, the Eturnagaram police went to the spot and shifted constable Srinivas to the hospital and send the two bodies for post-mortem. The locals said that the driver lost control of the wheel due to high speed, which caused the mishap.
