VIJAYAWADA: Several VIPs, including the President, Vice President, AP Chief Minister, and others, greeted and conveyed wishes to the Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan to mark his 89th birthday celebrations on Wednesday.
The President of India Droupadi Murmu, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Home Amit Shah, AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, and a host of others spoke to the Governor over the phone and wished him a long, happy and healthy life.
Earlier, purohits from Kanaka Durga temple arrived at Raj Bhavan and bestowed ‘Aseervachanam’ on the Governor and his wife and offered prasadam from the temple.
The Governor celebrated his birthday in a low-key manner in the wake of Covid-19 at Raj Bhavan and only a few VIPs were permitted to meet and greet him.
A special lunch programme was organised for the orphan children of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Vidyavihar (SKCV) Boys Trust at Raj Bhavan.
