Kakinada: Top order cricketer Ambati Rayudu participated in the Go Green Challenge “Yuvatha Haritha'' tree-plantation programme on Friday along with Rajamahendravaram MP M. Bharat Ram.
Speaking on the occasion, the cricketer appreciated construction of an international stadium in Rajamahendravaram, which would encourage youth in taking up sports and games. Ambati Rayudu praised the contribution of MP Bharat in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharat said construction of the indoor stadium at Adikavi Nannaya University in Rajahmundry with central funds is being expedited. He further said two cricket stadiums with illumination lights will be coming up in Rajamahendravaram soon.
Former MLA Rowthu Surya Prakasa Rao and students of several colleges participated in the tree-plantation programme.
