Hyderabad: A division bench of the Telangana High Court, comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Anil Kumar Jukanti, issued notices to the Centre and the director of Intelligence Bureau (IB) directing them to respond to a petition on not exempting SC and ST candidates from payment of fees in the recruitment of assistant central intelligence officers.
The bench was dealing with a PIL filed by Dr. J. Viplav Babu, a social worker from Sangareddy district, who said the fee exemption was not implemented to the earmarked category and urged the court to direct the Centre to return the amount already collected from the beneficiaries.
The Telangana High Court took cognizance of the matter and issued notices to both the Centre, represented by the secretary, Union ministry of home affairs, and the director of IB.
