Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal tweeted that their delivery agents received tips of Rs 97 lakh on the New Year eve and on that day. The food delivery app received orders heavily and the customers also tipped our agents, he said. The food delivery apps also profited heavily from the New Year celebrations.
The CEOs of Swiggy and Zomato food delivery apps shared information that they had earned more, at a record level, this year compared to the previous New Year.
Goyal tweeted: "Love you, India! You’ve tipped over ₹97 lakhs till now to the delivery partners serving you tonight â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸"
