HYDERABAD: The facade for shops in Laad Bazaar or the popular Chudi Bazar has been finalised, special chief secretary Arvind Kumar announced on Friday.
Located on one of the four main roads that branch out from the Charminar, the iconic shops will be renovated in a joint effort with the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority, said Kumar of the municipal administration and urban Development department.
Kumar added that the work, which will bring back the glory and tourists to the historic market, will take a year's time to complete.
"Lad Bazaar facade for shops is finalised and work is being taken up by #QQSUDA. It will take about a year to complete. Will bring back the glory & tourists to this historic market @KTRBRS @asadowaisi" he tweeted on Friday.
