Hyderabad: All arrangements are in place for TS-Eamcet (medical test) to be held on July 9. Nearly 56,000 candidates will be appearing for the test to be held in 95 centres spread across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Like every year authorities have to once again deal with the problem of over-aged candidates applying for the exam.
A 46-year old man (year of birth: 1970) has applied for the exam catching the attention of the convener. Nearly 55 candidates aged over 30 years registered their names for this entrance test.
Nearly 2,000 candidates who wrote the test on multiple occasions in the last three years are testing their luck this time. Since this test is for admissions to medical and dental colleges in Telangana, officials are leaving no stone unturned to ensure it goes off smoothly.
Eamcet Convenor, N.V. Ramana Rao said that they are keeping a tab on over aged candidates in the fray with the help of the police.
Organisers would be collecting bio-metric data of candidates besides handing over copies of OMR sheet etc. Nearly 17,000 candidates from Andhra Pradesh state have applied for the medical exam.
