KAKINADA: Rajamahendravaram MP M. Bharat stated that the Godavari Bund in Rajamahendravaram would be built at a cost of Rs 70 crore by next year, similar to the Tank Bund in Hyderabad. He said that the government sanctioned the funds for the purpose.
On Monday, the SVR Cultural Association, Pantham Satyanarayana Charitable Trust, and City Chiranjeevi Yuvatha collaborated to celebrate the late Telugu Cine Actor S.V. Ranga Rao's birthday in Rajamahendravaram.
Bharat, who was there as the meeting's chief guest, said that it was fortunate that tenders for the bund works will be solicited within one week and that the work would be completed by next year. S.V. Rangarao is a Telugu actor who has appeared in over 300 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
He stated that SVR performed wonderful characters in mythology and socio-fantasy films. Pandham Kondala Rao, President of Pantham Charitable Trust, presided over the event.
The 105th birthday of SV Ranga Rao was celebrated grandly in Kakinada. Kurasala Kannababu, MLA of Kakinada Rural, and K. Satyanarayana, Chairman of the Kakinada Rural Constituency Development Committee, adorned SVR's statue and paid generous honours to him. SVR's action was appreciated by him.
