D-Cinemaas permit scrapped
THRISSUR: The permit and occupancy certificate of D-Cinemaas at Chalakudy owned by actor Dileep has been scrapped by the Chalakudy municipality. The decision was taken unanimously by the municipal council on Thursday. Deccan Chronicle had reported on Wednesday that the multiplex complex of Dileep did not have proper possession certificate and the mandatory sketch of the taluk surveyor. The approval for the complex layout given by the chief town planner was for a building of 32,000 sq ft. But after completion, the building was found to have 39,000 sq ft.
“D-Cinemaas will be sealed tomorrow and we will not allow shows there forthwith. We have found that the actor had submitted a possession certificate in 2013 after getting the building permit in 2011. But the possession certificate is invalid as the mandatory classification of land is not mentioned in it. Besides, the sketch of the taluk surveyor submitted along with the certificate is invalid. It does not have any serial or reference number. It seems that the document is forged,” Mr Wilson Panattuparambil, vice-chairman of the municipality, told DC.
