Country-made bomb explodes, damages houses in Sircilla

KARIMNAGAR: A country-made bomb and gelatin sticks placed in a residence in Kondapur village of Konaraopet mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district, exploded, causing damage to several buildings on Thursday.

According to the local sarpanch Maliala Devaiah, Tummala Ramulu, a labourer of breaking rocks who used to hunt wild boars, kept some gelatin sticks and country-produced bombs in his residence. He had been sick for several months and was unable to work.

According to sub-inspector Anjaneyulu, the country-made bombs kept in the house burst, causing damage to some other houses in the area. However, there were no casualties. Since the blasting, all of Ramulu's family members, including Ramulu, have been working outside.

When the search was conducted, the police discovered four more gelatin sticks and some country-made bombs in Ramulu's house. A case was registered against Ramulu.
