HYDERABAD: Green India Challenge's founder and BRS MP J. Santosh Kumar brought smiles on children by distributing Ganesh idols made of seeds here on Sunday. He distributed the unique idols at a mall in KPHB Colony.
Recognising children's fondness for the Ganesh festival, he explained that this initiative, which started four years ago, aims to protect the environment.
Child artist Druvan of ‘Pushpa’ movie fame, encouraged everyone to install the seed idols at home for the festival, and plant them after immersing the idols at home. Children from various parts of the city joined in the programme, along with officials from Go Rural India Limited and Green India Challenge.
