Anantapur: The Anantapur Pocso court here on Tuesday sentenced a person to 10 years’ jail as he molested a minor girl at Errachenu village in Gangalapenta mandal of Satyasai district.
Sources said I Gangaraju lured a seven-year-old girl in the village by offering her chocolate and took her to a deserted area. He tried to molest her but she was rescued by locals. The girl informed her parents over the rape-attempt. Police registered a case.
On Tuesday, the Pocso court sentenced Gangaraju and gave him jail and a fine of Rs.2,000 as the charges were proven.
