Mahabubnagar green zone trespass: 6 Govt gets six weeks
Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court heard a matter relating to the failure of the authorities to curb illegal encroachments in the environmental zone of Mahabubnagar district and not protecting green belt water bodies and hillocks that form part of the environmental zone.
The bench of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and Justice C. V. Bhaskar Reddy was dealing with a writ petition filed by Watch Voice of the People. The petitioner sought directions from the government to restore all the water body green belt areas and hillocks. Harinder Prasad, special government pleader, sought time to seek instructions. The bench granted six weeks’ time for the government to respond and adjourned the matter to December 12.
