Fact Check: DKS\' letter to Foxconn Group on relocation of AirPods unit is FALSE
Following posts on social media that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shiva Kumar had written a letter to the Foxconn Groups asking them to relocate the Apple AirPod manufacturing plant from Hyderabad to Bangalore, Shivakumar gave a clarification that the purported letter on his official letterhead was fake.

In a post on X, Shivakumar gave the clarification that the letter was fake, even when it showed his letterhead.
Further, the Deputy Chief Minister said that an FIR also has been lodged at the Cybercrime police station in this regard.
In August, iPhone maker Apple announced that it will start manufacturing its wireless ear buds AirPods at Foxconn’s Hyderabad factory.
Foxconn has approved an investment of USD 400 million for Hyderabad plant which is expected to begin mass production by December 2024.
