Kadapa SP counsels criminals ahead of polls
Anantaour: In view of the forthcoming assembly elections, Kadapa police organised a counselling session for people with criminal history and potential trouble mongers.
Addressing them at a meeting in Kadapa division, superintendent of police Siddharth Kaushal said they would remain under the police scanner as the elections are approaching.
He maintained that with advancements in forensic modules and scientific investigation methodologies, it is impossible for criminals to hide from the law.
“Police department is always there to provide proper guidance and bring a change in the mindset of criminals, so that they do not repeat their misdeeds. But those who remain stubborn without giving up their old ways will face tough action. Before resorting to any crime, think of your families and their future,” the SP told the gathering.
Police officers reviewed the criminal history of those who had gathered for the meeting, their current employment status and lifestyle. They focused on understanding the circumstances that prompted them to become criminals. Police gathered information on whether they had been involved in poll-related violence, riots and social disturbances.
Siddarth Kaushal warned them to remember that whatever crime they commit, they will be tracked by police.
