Hyderabad: OU and IIT-Kharagpur Alumni Conduct Workshop on AI
Hyderabad: Human Capital Development Centre (HCDC), Osmania University, in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur Alumni’s Hyderabad chapter organised a workshop, ‘Industrial applications of artificial intelligence/machine learning' on Saturday in their e-classroom here.
Prof. C.V. Ranjani, director, HCDC, Dr P. Muralidhar Reddy, coordinator, and alumni from IIT Kharagpur oversaw the event which was attended by faculty and students from different colleges attended the workshop.
Prof. Ranjani stated that in this age of artificial intelligence, it is important to understand the workings and limitations associated with this technology, given that it is used from aviation to retail, banking to healthcare, and insurance manufacturing.
Nagaraju Gundala, professor of practice ,delivered a lecture on tech-powered fraud predictions – ‘A case study in auto insurance digital transformation,’ while Tabish Imam, co-founder, CyfrOne emphasised on the importance of matechmatics for AI/ML.
Prasad Chodavarapu, MD, Aganitha Technologies spoke on 'Decoding Life and Diseases with the help of AI' and Dr. V.N. Shastri, professor, IDRBT, gave an overview about the significance of AI/ML in secure mobile payments, and Parul Kulshres explained the role of AI in the aviation industry.
