Welfare Politics is Jagan's Hallmark, He Must Get Second Term: MP Gurumurthy

Tirupati: Tirupati YSRC MP, Maddila Gurumurthy, has asserted that the uplift of weaker sections is possible only if Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy returns to power in the 2024 polls.

“The welfare schemes running in the state will come to a halt if Jagan Mohan Reddy does not return as CM,” he said while addressing a public meeting in Venkatagiri constituency on Friday. The meeting was held as part of YSRC party's statewide Samajika Sadhikara Yatra.

"The CM has spent Rs 10,000 crore on Dalit students' education and Rs 10,000 crore for women's welfare in the last nearly five years. In total, a sum of Rs 86,000 crore was spent to improve the lives of the weaker sections under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s rule," he said.

YSRC MLA Hafiz Khan hailed Jagan Reddy for heralding a “revolution through welfare politics."

He said, "Today, poor students in AP are availing English medium education on par with the rich students, thanks to Jagan Mohan Reddy. State-sponsored medical treatment is being provided to the poor. The CM credited over Rs 2.46 lakh crore into bank accounts of the poor through various welfare schemes.”

AP electronic media adviser, Mohammad Ali, praised the comprehensive development of all sectors under CM Jagan Mohan Reddy’s leadership. Jagan Mohan Reddy has surpassed his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy in their efforts for the downtrodden through revolutionary policies and by introducing welfare schemes, he said.

"Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to continue to work for the poor. We need to make him CM again in 2024 to ensure that the welfare schemes are run unhindered," Ali told the audience.

Venkatagiri YSRC in-charge Nedurumalli Ramkumar Reddy urged the people to vote Jagan Mohan Reddy back to power to enable him continue his pro-poor governance. YSRC-backed ZPTC members, MPPs and Sarpanches participated in the event in large numbers.
