YS Viveka Murder Case: Telangana HC hears bail petetion filed by Shiva Shankar Reddy

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Friday heard the bail petition filed by D. Shiva Shankar Reddy, fifth accused in the Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy murder case. CBI counsel opposed the petition, stating that Reddy was an influential person and may threaten case witnesses.

CBI counsel said the accused was present in Vivekananda Reddy’s house in the early hours of March 15, 2019, when the news of the murder had not broken.

The court faulted CBI counsel for submitting unclear answers to the queries raised by the Bench. The court suggested that counsel to come to the court prepared, instead of saying “I think so” which the bench found objectionable.
