Durgam Cheruvu bridge closed
Hyderabad: The Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge will be closed for three days, starting from the midnight of April 6 till the morning of April 10 to facilitate inspection of the stay cable system to be taken up by the GHMC. Cyberabad police issued a traffic advisory, diverting traffic away from the bridge.
During the works, 100-tonne cranes will be deployed on the bridge near the pylons P1 and P2 for taking up inspection work, The cranes will occupy the carriageway, making the road closure mandatory.
In order to ensure smooth flow of traffic, traffic coming from Jubilee Hills Road No. 45 towards Gachibowli via cable bridge will be diverted at Dr Ambedkar Open University on Road No. 45 towards Madhapur police station, Cyber Towers, Lemon Tree junction and Ikea rotary.
Traffic from Jubilee Hills Road No. 45 via cable bridge towards Gachibowli will be
diverted at Dr Ambedkar Open University towards DMart, Vasanth Emerald Gardens, HMWS&SB, Nectar Garden Junction, Durgam Cheruvu, I-Labs, ITC Kohenur, My Home Abra Junction, C Gate Junction, Ikea rotary and Biodiversity junction.
Traffic coming from Ikea rotary towards Jubilee Hills via the cable bridge will be diverted at Inorbit mall, I-Labs, Durgam Cheruvu, COD Junction, Ayyappa Society, Madhapur police station, Kavuri Hills junction and Jubilee Hills.
Traffic coming from Ikea Rotary towards Jubilee Hills via cable bridge will be diverted at Inorbit mall, I-Labs, Durgam Cheruvu, Nectar Garden junction, Doctors Colony, DMart and Road No 45 of Jubilee Hills. Police urged commuters to follow the advisory and avoid inconvenience.
