IAS Ronald Rose Named GHMC Chief
Hyderabad: Ronald Rose, a 2006 batch IAS officer, was on Tuesday named GHMC chief, replacing Lokesh Kumar who held the post for a record three years.
Rose, currently secretary, finance, was with the GHMC from 2012 to 2014 and his contribution to town planning is remembered. During that period he worked in various zones of GHMC, including Khairatabad.
Tamil Nadu-born Ross had bagged a job in the after completing his BCom from Madras University. Keen to be a civil servant, he cracked the UPSC exam.
Ross’ first posting in July 2007 was as assistant collector at the land revenue office at Hyderabad. In September 2008, he was transferred as sub-collector of Narsapur, as project officer of the ITDA (Intergrated Tribal Development Agency) at Rampachodavaram in Feburary 2010 and as additional CEO of rural development in the panchayat raj department in August 2011.
