Mudirajs to hold Atmagaurava Sabha on Oct. 8 in Hyd

Warangal: State president of Mudiraj Mahasabha Fisheries wing Manda Nagesh said that Mudiraj Atmagaurava Sabha will be held on October 8 at Gymkhana Grounds in Hyderabad, demanding the state government include Mudiraj community to BC-A category before the notification for the Assembly election schedule was released.

Speaking at a press meet held along with the association members in Karimnagar on Wednesday, Nagesh said that the Mudiraj community was the largest in the state with around 60 lakh population and demanded the political parties allot tickets to the communities according to the ratio of their population. The ruling BRS, which had betrayed the Mudiraj community by not allotting even a single ticket, must allot at least five tickets to Mudiraj leaders, he demanded.

During the Congress rule, former chief minister Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy issued G.O. No.15 including Mudiraj community from BC-D to BC-A category in 2003. However, because of the court case, the G.O was not implemented, he reminded.

They demanded that whichever party wins the polls must set up a separate Mudiraj finance corporation for the welfare of the community and distribute quality seeds of fish and prawns to all 5,000 fishermen societies across the state.

He appealed to all the community members to attend in large numbers the Mudiraj Atmagaurava Sabha, which will be held by all the associations of Mudiraj community and attended by political leaders such as Etala Rajendar, Banda Prakash, Kasani Gyaneshwar and Jagan Mohan Rao.
