Don't implement resolutions, HC tells Telugu cine workers society

HYDERABAD: The vacation bench of the Telangana High Court, headed by Justice Bollam Vijaysen Reddy, stayed the implementation of the recent resolutions of the Telugu cine workers housing cooperative society at Chitrapuri colony in order. The court also stayed the decision of the managing committee of the housing society to float tenders for the construction of twin towers on the society’s four acres of land.

Earlier, the court had directed the managing Committee to conduct the general body meeting and pass resolutions. But, the court had specifically mentioned that the resolutions made in the meeting shall not be implemented till it takes the version of all involved in it.

Until it eventually decides after the summer vacation, no resolution of the panel should be implemented, the court ascertained.

Meanwhile, contrary to the court orders, the managing committee tried to implement the resolutions. Challenging it, Maddineni Ramesh Babu, a member of the society approached the High Court.

Jelli Kanakaiah, senior counsel representing the petitioner, drew the attention of the court that the High Court had earlier issued interim orders directing the managing committee not to go further, until further orders.

The court issued interim stay orders and adjourned the case to June 22.
