Tribals asked to bar entry of BJP leaders in hamlets

HYDERABAD: TPCC vice-president Ramulu Naik met TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday and gave a representation to him seeking a committee to identify Telangana martyrs to accord proper recognition to them.

It may be recalled that the party had announced a pension of Rs 25,000 to all eligible families on coming to power. Approximately 1,200 persons sacrificed their lives between 2001 and 20014.

Later, at a press conference, Naik said, “Action should be taken against the followers of a BJP legislator, who was found urinating on a tribal man. This is one more instance of insulting tribals, which was evident when President Droupadi Murmu was not invited for the inauguration of the new parliament building. Our national ST chairman has asked us against allowing BJP leaders into our hamlets until justice is rendered to the tribal man.”

“We will hold black flags in all Narendra Modi’s meetings and give a representation to the Governor on the issue”, he said
