Telangana HC verifies Mallannasagar land papers
HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court on Tuesday examined the preliminary notification dated 31.01.2021, for the acquisition of 102 acres of land in Survey No.s 326 & 331, at Mutrajpally, Gajwel mandal, for the construction of a colony displaced families from villages which was submerged by the Mallannasagar reservoir.
The division bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar was dealing with an appeal complaining that the officials had issued a fraudulent gazette notification for land acquisition by changing the classification of land and incorporating the names of third parties, instead of original pattadars. Chief Justice Aradhe warned of actions of the officials tried to mislead the court.
On August 30, the court directed government counsel to file affidavits from officers who had made entries in the district gazette issuance register for 2022. The G.P. filed four affidavits. The court specifically enquired when Gazette No. 41, dated 28.01.2022, for extension of preliminary notification, was sent to the Government Printing Press, Hyderabad, for publication in the Telangana Gazette. The government sought time and the matter was adjourned to September 19.
