Women Safety Wing - MoU with NGOs to combat trafficking

Hyderabad: The state police Women safety wing (WSW) has entered into a memorandum with two NGOs, My Choices Foundation (MCF) and International Justice Mission (IJM), to combat child trafficking and prevent human trafficking. The MoU envisages comprehensive legal support, facilitate access to justice, and work towards the prevention of human trafficking.

International Justice Mission (IJM) is to train staff and hold workshops and consultations related to child labour trafficking. It will also publish training materials, standard operating procedures and coordinate with line departments, a statement said. My Choices Foundation (MCF) to set up the safe programme, which aims to sensitise at-risk communities about sex trafficking, prevention strategies, and community empowerment.

WSW Additional DG Shikha Goel said, “This partnership underscores the significance of collaboration between law enforcement and civil society organisations in addressing the pressing issue of women and safety of children.”
